MadReply is a website where you can create unfiltered letters and save them privately or share them publicly; we call these Unsent Letters.
We also provide a unique service for your letters. For a small fee, we can send your letters anonymously by email or mail using postal services.
Additionally, we have an "Ask Advice" page where you can ask for advice, share posts, and interact with the MadReply community.
How much does it cost?
MadReply is free to sign up and use.
However, we charge a small fee for sending an email anonymously and sending your letters by mail.
If your website is about the Unsent Letter, why do you offer for the letter to be sent through e-mail or postal service?
MadReply provides this unique service because we believe you are in control, and you should be able to send what you have created if you want to.
We will send your Unsent Letters, if that is what you want, to have catharsis and hopefully have closure on this thought.
What is an Unsent Letter?
Unsent Letters allow you to unload your thoughts, feelings, and emotions out in the open. It's a space to process your emotions. Vent your pent-up anger and frustrations about someone you can't be direct with. Express your gratitude, express your forgiveness, or say goodbye to a loved one who passed away. Convey your love, affection, and admiration for individuals you deeply admire.
Who can you Write Unsent Letters to?
Write your Unsent Letters to anyone or anything. Our goal is to have a safe platform where everyone can express their feelings and thoughts about someone or anything. Having strong pent-up emotions towards someone and bottling them up inside does not harm your mental, emotional, and physical health. Discover the power of an Unsent Letter!
How do I create an Unsent letter on MadReply?
It's easy to create an Unsent letter on MadReply! Follow the few steps below for further instructions.
- Select 'Get Started' to Get Started!
- Enter your e-mail address and select Login. (Alternately, you can log in using a google account).
- Check your email and click the sign-in link sent to your email.
- Select 'Add New Letter' found on the home page.
- Great job! That's it, that's all! Now you're ready to express yourself with an Unsent letter on MadReply!
What is the difference between private, draft, and public Unsent Letters?
When creating an Unsent Letter, you'll be given the option to 'Save as Draft,' 'Save as Private,' and 'Publish.' You'll need to select 'Publish' for your Unsent Letters to appear on our community page for others to view, enjoy, like and/or comment.
Selecting 'Save as Draft' or 'Save as Private' saves your Unsent Letters to your 'My Letters.' Only you can view Unsent Letters saved under these options. Drafts are Unsent Letters you might not have time to finish. Private Unsent Letters are for your eyes only. They are saved to your account like your own private diary.
Why isn't my Unsent letter showing under the Unsent Letters from the Community page?
When creating an Unsent Letter, you'll be given the option to 'Save as Draft,' 'Save as Private,' and 'Publish.' You'll need to select 'Publish' for your Unsent Letters to appear on our community page for others to view, enjoy, like and/or comment.
Can I edit or delete my Unsent letter?
Yes, all Unsent Letters you create on MadReply can be edited or deleted. Select the Unsent Letter you wish to edit and select 'EDIT' found next to your Unsent Letter. You can edit all the content of the Unsent Letter, and/or you can change how you want your Unsent Letter saved. If you no longer want the letter published, select 'Save as Draft' or 'Save as Private,' and your Unsent Letter will no longer be visible to others. Note: Unsent Letters edited to private or draft from a published Unsent Letter will keep likes and comments. If you switch your Unsent Letter back to publish, it will keep to the original creation date with all likes and comments previously added.
Can I edit or delete my comments?
Yes, you can do both.
Can I edit or delete my posts?
Yes and no.
You can delete your post but not edit posts.
What is Ask Advice?
The Ask Advice page is a forum where you can view topics of discussion and a place to ask for advice from our community. If you are not signed in, you will not be allowed to leave a comment or upvote a post.
What are tags?
Tags are a quick way to browse the Ask Advice page. When creating a new post, 'Tags' will appear within your post. Under 'Tags,' you can add subjects relevant to your post.
Someone inactive has the username that I want. Can I change my username to the inactive account's username?
Unfortunately, the answer is no. Usernames are on a first come and first serve basis, to whomever and whichever human has created it first. Usernames are associated with all content created and all accounts are attached to a specific email. No exchanging usernames.
Can I change my username?
No, your username is final once created. It can not be modified, and once you create an account, your username will associate all content you create to that username.
Recovering a lost or forgotten username?
MadReply doesn't use usernames to log in. So, if you forget your username, worry not. It's no problem to lose or forget your username on MadReply!
Recovering a lost or forgotten password?
Accounts on MadReply are created using a unique email address. All you need is access to your email inbox. Once created, all your content will be attached to your MadReply account, and that's all! There's no need to create a password. Log into your email inbox, click 'Sign in' on the link sent to you, and you'll have access.
I need help with my hacked or compromised account.
If you believe your account has been compromised, contact the admins here and select 'Reporting' on the landing page. Fill out your contact information on the form provided, provide the username of the affected account, and tell us briefly why you're concerned that the account may be hacked or compromised.
Signs that something might be wrong may include but are not limited to:
- You notice your 'Unsent letter' are being modified or deleted, which was not done by you.
- You notice your forum posts modified or deleted, which was not done by you.
- You notice comments made under your username, and you don't remember posting a comment.
- You start to notice upvotes or downvotes, posts, and/or comments you don't remember making.
How can I keep my account secure?
- Do not share your email address password with anyone. Your email account is the only way someone can access your MadReply account. Do not share these details under any circumstances. None of our admins will ask for email passwords and do not share them with anyone or post your passwords.
- Adding two-factor authentication to your email accounts.
- Use a password manager.
- Keep a current, verified email address to access your MadReply account easily.
- Don't share your account.
- Don't leave your account logged in or let the browser save your password on a shared device, as this may allow others to access your account without your knowledge.
- Always remember to log out once you have reached the end of your active session.
I'm having issues accessing my email. Can I still get access to my MadReply account?
Unfortunately, the only way to access your MadReply account is through your original registered email. Accounts on MadReply are created using a unique email address, and you will need access to your email inbox if you wish to log into your MadReply account. Without accessing your email, you can't access your account either.
Is it possible to delete a MadReply account?
The short answer is yes.
Once your account is deleted, it can't be reactivated, and your username will become unavailable. All previously created content will still be visible to others, and you will no longer be able to modify or delete old content.
Therefore, before you continue, please ensure you are 100% sure you want your account deleted. You may wish to have your account deleted due to compromise.
Once your account has been deleted, you will no longer have access to your account.
To delete your account, go to Settings, under My Settings, select 'Account Settings, and under 'Delete Account' type “DELETE” to delete your account. Note: This action cannot be undone.
Important things to note about deleting an account:
- Deleting an account doesn't delete any letters or comments you've made with this account. If you wish to delete your 'Unsent letter,' check the FAQs about 'Can I edit or delete my Unsent letter?'
